How do we love Broulee Brewhouse? Let us count the ways.
Seriously!
This local brewery right on Broulee Beach has so much to offer for locals and visitors, and we are high-key in luuuuurve!.
From quality bevvies to a strong focus on sustainability and totally friendly faces behind the bar there is so much to adore.
Here’s why:
1 :: Tasty And Unique Beers
Speaking from experience, we’re suckers for the selection of brewskis on offer at Broulee Brewhouse.
From a crisp refreshing lager [perfect after a summer swim] to their juicy and tropical NEIPA, their extra hoppy XPA and their Pale Ale which is a fave amongst the surfing crowd, plus plenty more to explore.
They also regularly experiment with different ingredients and brewing methods to create seasonal drinkies so there is always something new and exciting to try, keeping us coming back again, and again…. and again!
2 :: A Real Personal Touch
If you happen to visit Broulee Brewhouse during the week you can actually check out the action and watch the beer being brewed right before your eyes. And if the head brewer happens to be there [which they often are], you can actually meet them and have a chat about how they work their magic.
Very personal, very cool!
3 :: Environmentally Friendly Practices
We’re all for local businesses working to be more eco-friendly, and knowing that Broulee Brewhouse focuses on recycling and reducing waste gets a big thumbs up from us.
Supporting a biz that cares about the planet is a definite bonus!
4 :: Part Of The South Coast Ale Trail
The South Coast Ale Trail runs all the way from Wollongong down to the Vic border, a whopping 370kms.
If you’ve made it your mission to visit them all [amazing, go you!], hitting up Broulee Brewhouse is a must-do.
It’s so cool that they’re part of this incredibly fun and flavourful experience not just in our region but all along the coast.
5 :: Yummy Food
Not only do they serve fab frothies, but the food here is definitely worth a shout-out as well!
From mouth-watering burgers to seafood dishes, schnitties, salads, and snacks like tostadas and chippies, there’s something for every type of muncher.
There’s options for the kiddos too, so the whole fam-bam can have a feed.
6 :: Family Friendly
Not only are there meals for the nippers, but the brewery itself is child-friendly until 9pm, with colouring-in pages available and plenty of space for the kids to stretch their legs in the beer garden.
There’s a baby-changing station, the brewery is wheelchair accessible, and it’s pet-friendly.
They stock a great range of non-beer and non-alcoholic drinks, so everyone can enjoy a refreshment.
7 :: Location, Location, Location
Situated right across from Broulee Beach, the brewery is perfect for a post-swim or post-surf hang.
There’s just something about a beer after a day on the sand and in the waves that makes it taste even better, right?
It’s also next to the local surf shop and pharmacy, and just a 10-minute walk from the grocery store if you need to grab any bits or bobs.
And in extra awesome news, the team recently installed a bike rack out the front for anyone planning to cycle over.
8 :: Regular Events
Broulee Brewhouse regularly hosts live music on Saturdays + Sundays and Open Mic Night every second Friday.
Local businesses supporting local artists are always a win in our books!
Throughout the year they put on community events like Oktoberfest, trivia nights, visits from Santa, happy hours and food specials.
Keep an eye on their socials for what’s happening and when.
9 :: Keeping The Good Times Flowing
If you haven’t heard the news yet, we’re totally chuffed to share that the crew at Broulee Brewhouse have taken over Camel Rock Brewhouse on the Sapphire Coast in Wallaga Lake.
After being closed for a few months, there were plenty of worries about what would happen to this well-loved spot. Hearing that our pals at Broulee Brewhouse have brought it back to life made our day.
The local vibe is still there, the beers are just as tasty, and plenty of Bega Valley locals are cheering. We can’t wait to see what the Broulee Brewhouse team does next.
10 :: Betty The Beer Truck
Fantastic name, fantastic idea!
This ultra funky 1947 Bedford truck has been converted into a mobile bar and can be hired for events like weddings, birthdays and corporate events.
We reckon this would be such an awesome way to add a bit of pizzaz to your party and they can arrange staff to pour the brews for you or you can pour yourself.
OR if you’d rather come to the brewery instead of having it come to you, you can actually book the brewhouse out for your special shindig.
Okay, so it’s pretty obvious by now that we’re head over heels for Broulee Brewhouse.
Anyone keen to get in on this lovefest can head to Coronation Drive in Broulee and check it out.
Broulee Brewhouse is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:30am to 9pm, with the kitchen serving up good food from 11:30am to 7:30pm.
More info is available on their website and socials, where you can even order beers for delivery. Handy much?!
