Description
Melville Point, also known as "Burying Point" and "Gravehead" due to the early settler cemetery there, has beautiful sweeping views over Barlings Beach to the north-east, and Mossy Point and Broulee Island to the south. Tomakin Cove is tucked in against the southern side of the headland.
The lookout offers a great vantage point for land-based whale watching in season.
The point and its adjoining intertidal rock platform are on the Register of the National Estate as an important geological site to the north
