Coledale Waves Junior Football Club

We are a friendly, fun and community driven junior football club, based in beautiful Coledale, in the northern suburbs of Wollongong.

From small beginnings back in 1999, our club has grown into one of the largest in the Illawarra and continues to go from strength to strength.

We have almost 400 junior players, from under 6s through to under 17s. Our club philosophy is ‘football for everyone’ and everyone is welcome at St James Park, home ground for our girls’, boys’ and mixed teams. We encourage everyone to join in and play regardless of ability and experience.

Our club is a registered sporting association and is run completely by volunteers. We have a strong committee of about 30 volunteers, which oversees the key roles. But we also rely on parents and carers to help on game day and with training sessions.

It’s important to acknowledge that our kids only get to play the beautiful game thanks to the generosity and commitment of our volunteers.

Many hands do make light work and there is an expectation that if your child plays for the club you help whenever you can.
