Description
Black Head Reserve
Located at the tip of Gerroa’s headland, Black Head Reserve has sweeping views to the south over Seven Mile Beach, towards Shoalhaven Heads and then further across to Beecroft Peninsula.
There is also access down to a little beach to the north of the headland, ideal for searching out fossils shells and exploring rock pools. It’s best to wear sandshoes or sturdy sandals in this area as thongs slip easily on the wet rock.
Black Head is also a great spot for whale watching between May and November, with the whales migrating north from May to August, and south from September to November.
