Description
Jamberoo Valley Milk
Three of our incredible local dairy farmers have come together with a processor to start this wonderful new venture. So now it's up to us to do our bit and support our farmers from the valley and help keep our hills green.
With Country Valley Milk, based in Picton, we are proud to supply milk to the community, spending money locally and employing local people. After picking up milk from the Jamberoo Valley now for almost a year, we would like to give local people the opportunity to support the local farmers, their employees and the shops from the beautiful part of the coast in which we live.
Jamberoo is arguably one of the first towns to build a factory in NSW. When we drive past the numerous old dairies, let's think of the family businesses. The kids would have helped after school to hose out and feed calves and there were so many of these dairies. Today there are fewer, but bigger farms.
Let's keep our hills green and devoid of houses. We would like to revive a part of this history and supply Full Cream and Light milk, one and two litres initially to the local stores, labelled as Jamberoo Valley milk. The Full Cream is the same milk that the local cows provide, but pasteurised at the lowest legal temperature, without removing cream to standardise to 3.4%. It is fantastic in coffee and truly is 'the difference you can taste'. Try some and see for yourself!
