Description
'Tides of Time'
If you're passing along Terralong St, you'll notice the old ambulance station is looking a little more colourful, thanks to Claire Foxton.
'Tides of Time' is a diptych that pays homage to Kiama’s seaside identity and fishing history.
Kiama fisherman, Hedley Brown, and his boat ‘Shirley Jean’ are featured, as well as shells that are a personal collection from Claire's mother, collected near her home on Jones Beach over many years.
Claire is Jamberoo-based artist and designer who is most known for her large body of public art found across Australia, New Zealand and America.
Claire’s painted mural works explore a site-specific narrative often concerned with the connectedness of people and place.
