Our Community Project (formerly Port Kembla Community Project Inc is a not for profit organisation that manages a number of NSW based projects

Our Vision: Our Community Project Inc ("formerly Port Kembla Community Project") works with and within a vibrant and resourceful community- harnessing the skills, creativity & diversity to create opportunity, resilience and an active participation in community life for the well being of the whole community.

The Centre hosts a range of projects and social enterprises. Over the last 10 years the Centre has played a key role in establishing many local community services.

Currently, the organisation houses a range of services;

- Tender Funerals - The Death and Dying process

- Green Connect - maximises resource recovery & refugee employment pathways

- No Interest Loans Scheme - $1,000 no interest loan to low income earners for household goods and car registration.

- Culture Bank - improving the culture of the Illawarra region

- Jam n Bread - monthly multicultural gatherings around music & food

- Port Locals including the Sew for Zero Waste group, Garden and permaculture groups, Men’s group, Wood fired bread making group, An organic food buyers group and Art group
