Where to wrap your lips around one of these iconic Vietnamese rolls

We’d say we’re in our Banh Mi era but we’re pretty sure this one’s a lifelong love affair.

That perfect combo of crispy and crunchy, soft and chewy, sweet and savoury, with a burst of freshness…and if you’re feeling brave, a little kick of spice too… mmm, so good!

It’s no surprise these incredible Vietnamese-style sangas have taken the world by storm! We’re so lucky to have so many spots around the Illawarra where we can grab our own delicious fix.

Here’s some bonza Banh Mi spots around the Illawarra to satisfy your cravings.

Sam’s Crusty Bread Shop: Iconic with the Banh Mi loving crowd. On the Highway in Corrimal

Peters Bakery: Another fan fave in Fairy Meadow.

PiPi’s Pork Rolls: A fab selection at this joint in Unanderra

QP Bakery: Hidden around the corner from the 7-11 in Berkeley. The staff are super friendly and the rolls are yummo-scrummo.

An Chut Chut: A cult fave in Wollongong with delish rolls as well as other awesome Vietnamese dishes.

Saigon Senses: Lunchtime on a weekday at this Crown Street Mall bakery is one busy place, and for good reason! They’ve got tasty vegan and veggie options as well.
