We love this time of year…..warmer weather, the days are getting longer, there’s school holidays AND a three day weekend thrown in for good measure.
Yay!
And of course, as always, there is plenty to do in the stunning Illawarra to keep everyone busy, amped up on fun, fed, watered and just livin’ their best life in our lovely region.
Head to our Event Directory to plan your long weekend – it’s loaded up with stacks of events, activities, classes, workshops and more.
If you’re overwhelmed with what to do and where to do it, follow our five recommendations here.
All you have to do is turn up! Job done.

3 :: Go Bottomless
Dagwood is hosting a long weekend special Bottomless Brunch with Cosmos & Dumplings yum! There will be three sittings over the weekend and they cater to a range of dietary needs so it’s worth grabbing the gang and making your booking stat!
Curious about other bottomless brunches around town that might be happening this weekend? Check out our directory here.

4 :: Party in Port
Wentworth Street in Port Kembla is turning it out on the 5th with an epic street festival. There’ll be live music, markets, food and more! Running from 1pm – 10pm, this is an all ages event so you can bring the whole gang along. Best of all it’s FREEEE! We love seeing all the exciting changes that keep happening over in Port and we’re double loving seeing the whole community get involved.
5 :: Go bush
There’s nothing better than a bushwalk with friends or family or by yourself if you need some quiet time! Our pick for a long weekend walk in nature is the Mount Kembla Ridge Trail with its range of landscapes and views.

There’s plenty more fun events and experiences to head to in our Event Directory – make a plan and make the most of a three-day weekend!
And once again cross our fingers for some sunny weather- we’ve been having it good lately, but you never know!
