Nexus Mining is a contractor in the underground coal sector offering a range of services and skills to the coal industry in New South Wales.

In this exciting time of growth, positions have become available for underground miners possessing a Deputy's certificate to join our underground operations.

We are looking for strong leaders that have the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards.

Essential skills and experience

• A current Deputy certificate of competency, or mutual recognition qualification
• Practising Deputy Certificate
• Provide first aid certificate
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine
• Sound planning, organisation and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet targets
• Proven experience in a supervisory role
• Strong management and leadership capability
• Demonstrated technical & operational ability in a similar mining environment
• You will be required to complete a National Police History Check for this role
