Kendall highlights

A short drive from Port Macquarie, west of the Camden Haven region, lies the quiet village of Kendall. Kendall is named in honour of former resident and poet Henry Kendall, who lived in Camden Haven from 1874 to 1881. To celebrate the favoured son there is now a ‘Poets’ Walk’ in Kendall.

Kendall is a quaint village with heritage-style buildings, beautiful flora and fauna, where you can enjoy a peaceful picnic beside the picturesque Camden Haven River. The picnic spot is located just over the bridge on the eastern side and has toilet facilities. As Kendall was a logging town in the early 1900s there is a silhouette sculpture depicting a team of bullocks. Why not take time out at the local café and browse local handicrafts.

You can collect maps and more information on the area from the Kendall Community Centre, the iKew Community Information Centre or the Greater Port Macquarie Visitor Information Centre. The staff there can help you make the most of your time in the region.

Kendall is a Recreation Vehicle Friendly town.
