We’re loving the sound of this exciting challenge.
Participants are given a prompt that includes a genre [what will it be? Science fiction, fantasy, romance?), an action (this is what will drive the plot forward – it could be any action from discovering a hidden message, to embarking on a journey), and a word (this could be anything! It will need to seamlessly integrate into your narrative).
Your task is to weave each of those elements into a compelling and concise story, all within the 100-word limit.
Entries: now open
How to enter: Send an email to microfiction@bragart.com.au to register and receive your prompts. Include your full name and, if you prefer for privacy, a pen name.
Story Prompts: will be emailed to you after your registration is received.
Submit Stories: Friday, July 11
At the launch on 19th July, the entries will all be pinned up around the BRAG rooms, and at 11am the authors are invited to read out their story.
People will be asked to place stickers on their favourite stories and the top 5 will be published on the BRAG website and our social media.
