Business Support Programs

There are some fantastic FREE resources [yep! FREE!] available for business owners in the Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA. These include things like grant assistance, advocacy and business liaisons.

Find out more about support available here.

And most definitely connect with Enterprise Plus. They’re a not-for-profit that’s been running Australian, NSW, and ACT Government business advisory and education programs, workshops, and webinars across regional NSW and the ACT for over 30 years. They provide a literal wealth of support for local businesses owners.

Other local Chambers and industry associations can offer valuable support, guidance and advice for local businesses and it’s a good idea to consider joining.

They range from providing financial advice and guidance through to digital marketing expertise, business planning and more.

Finance

Having a solid bookkeeper, financial advisor, or accountant in your corner can make all the difference, especially if dealing with numbers or navigating the finance world feels a bit overwhelming. Take a look at our directory for local financial experts who can help you manage your money and make it work for your business.

Grants

Grants and funding can make a real difference for small businesses. Whether you need a little extra to get through a tight spot or a larger amount to bring a big idea to life, it is always worth exploring what is available. There are plenty of opportunities out there, and you might be surprised by what you find.

Register with Grant Guru from the Queanbeyan-Palerang Council which is an awesome grant finder available to all local businesses, community groups, not-for-profits and individuals.

Business.gov and Service NSW for Business are also good websites and organisations to link up with for more information about grants and general business advice.

Find your tribe

Marketing

Skipping the marketing side of things is like opening a business and keeping it a secret. Whether it is traditional or digital [and yes, there is absolutely room for both], marketing gets your business in front of the people who need what you offer.
