9 Spots For An Instaworthy Brunch In The Queanbeyan Region

Who’s craving a brunch fix? We’ll admit, we’re brunch fiends here at The Fold! And why wouldn’t we be? It’s the meal that lets you sleep in and still get your eggs and coffee fix without missing a beat. It’s basically an excuse to eat dessert for breakfast, like pancakes, pastries, and anything covered in syrup. It’s a fab way to catch up with friends and fam without having to do the cooking or the cleaning up. Plus, brunch food is notoriously photogenic, perfect for snapping a pic for the ‘gram.

So, with all that in mind, we went ahead and found some seriously excellent dining spots that will take your feed to the next level. Check out these local cafes for plates of deliciousness that’ll have you grabbing your phone in no time.

One of the first things you spot when entering Bungendore is this cutesy-as food van set just outside The Malbon. FYI this retail collective which is another majorly Insta-worthy spot.

The garden eating area is the spot to be on a sunny day and be sure to carve out some time after your feed for a peruse inside at all the lovely goodies.

The specials change regularly here, and we recommend the scrummy pork and fennel sausage rolls, which are a total fan-fave.

Excellent coffee, tasty food, funky cool interiors, and excellently located right in the middle of Queanbeyan’s CBD.

Great for a mid-week work break, and open on weekends for a bite and a catch-up in town

They’ve got classics like B&E rolls and smashed avo plus exciting options like Sour Cherry Toast and Ottoman Poached eggs, nom, nom, nom!

This café gives off serious sanctuary vibes with its beautiful garden space tucked away just off Wallace St in Braidwood.

Run by the Vanilla Catering team, many of their ingredients are locally sourced, but we’re especially drawn to the international flair they bring to the food.

Since they’re also a catering business, be sure to check their socials for any changes in opening hours, as they sometimes have to close up for the day to cover an event.

Attached to the famous Woodworks Gallery, you’re literally surrounded by woodworking art and craft.

And the food does a pretty good job of competing for gorgeousness as well. The menu is extensive, meaning even the pickiest of brunchers are sure to find something they like.

We’ve got our eyes on the American Style Savoury Biscuits and Gravy next time we visit… or maybe the Bungendore Breakfast… or maybe even both..hehe.

Such a delightful spot to hang, with loads of space out the front, inside, and in the courtyard at the back.

It’s also doggo and kiddo friendly, so the whole brunchy bunch can come along. The back area even has toys and space for the little ones to stretch their legs.

Oooh, and the coffee is top-notch… SOLD!

Inside an incredibly charming Heritage Listed Building, you’ll probably be snapping pics for the gram before you’ve even ordered.

Very family-friendly with an outdoor area for the kids to play with toys and a cubby.

Plenty of tasty-sounding brekkie and lunch options on the menu, and make sure to save room for one of their mouthwatering pastries as well.

A real locals’ fave with a homely feel and friendly staff. It’s a popular spot for mums’ groups and meet-ups.

The breakfast and lunch menus are packed with exciting choices, but we’re really suckers for the amazing cakes.

There are tons to choose from, and they always look so inviting, making it almost impossible to pick just one… but we never do anyway.

Run by the impressive 18-year-old Oscar [yep 18, what a legend!], this food van is dishing out donuts that began as a COVID hobby and have now blossomed into his very own business.

We think donuts for brunch is ALWAYS a good idea and when they look as good as these ones, well then it’s a no-brainer.

We like ‘em quirky and eclectic, so that’s why we’re fans of this Braidwood cafe/ concept store.

Chow down on something delish, pick up something special for home and grab some high-quality cheeses, cold meats and relishes for afternoon tea.

And did we mention they’ve also got an indoor fountain fish pond?

SO.FLIPPIN.COOL!
