Description
Across the Far South East the branch rescues and cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in the Bega Valley Shire, through to Bombala and Wallaga Lake. The branch provides ongoing community wildlife information and education, and they proactively engage in local activities to help protect and preserve wildlife and wildlife habitat.
WIRES could not help the number of animals we do every year without our incredible volunteers. Every branch is always looking for more rescuers and carers, so please consider joining WIRES as a volunteer. You can also donate to the Far South East Branch to support wildlife locally.
The Far South East Branch is deeply grateful to their local veterinary clinics, and veterinary staff, and would like to thank them for their ongoing support of wildlife. The branch also thanks all the local community members and businesses for their ongoing support of our wildlife work.
Each WIRES’ branch helps support significant biodiversity within their region. They are regularly working closely with local councils, schools, and other organisations, to identify opportunities to improve the welfare of native animals, and the long-term health of wild species populations.
