First and foremost, the Eat Festival is a joyful celebration of food on the Sapphire Coast. Showcasing the brilliant chefs and producers at its heart. Trust us – you don’t want to miss this one!
From Cobargo to Eden, the healthy waters and fertile land of the Sapphire Coast provide an abundance of incredible produce – freshly harvested oysters, locally grown ingredients, and, most importantly, the passion of the people who bring it all to life.
This wonderful annual festival isn’t just for the locals, either. Foodies travel from all over to enjoy the beautiful Sapphire Coast and its fabulous foodie scene. If you’re planning to visit, or have visiting family & friends, share this list of local accommodation options – our wonderful region is pumping during the Festival week, so make sure you book now to avoid missing out on a place to stay.
While Sunday is the big event, when the foreshore road at Fishpen is shut down and our wonderful and talented foodies come together to feed you [it’s a tough gig eh], the festival experience is so much more than just that one [fantastic! & delicious!] day.
We have the opportunity to get even closer to the action by getting involved with the partner experiences held on the three days leading up to Sunday – these goodies sell out really FAST, so you need to get organised!
New and exciting partner experiences are being launched, so it’s worth checking back on the Festival website, but for now, we’re already counting down the days to these experiences…
Local darlings at Toast Cafe are hosting an intimate dinner on Thursday where every dish is thoughtfully crafted to let the locally sourced produce shine. [This one’s going to be memorable – we’ve got out tix!]
How about oyster shucking right on the lake where they’re harvested? Or gorge out on a seafood extravaganza at local seafood joint, Tidal.
You can play alchemist for a day at gin school with the award-winning North of Eden Gin. Or meet the producers behind all the deliciousness you’ll be eating on Sunday’s event at Nine Circles [why not stick around for the launch of their new whiskey while you’re at it?].
And let’s not forget the legendary Oyster & Spoon Race, a hilarious [and weirdly competitive] showdown at Sunday’s festival, where our local hospo legends go head to head – oyster to oyster. It’s a scream!
If food is your passion, your love language, or you just love a good feast, the Eat Festival will fill your belly and nourish the soul. See you there, crew!
