Who says you can’t enjoy the beach in the rain? Grab your gumboots and raincoats and go for a family walk.

You’re spoilt for choice but we love Aislings Rock Pool in Eden for finding unique treasures and the Merimbula Boardwalk for bird watching and fish spotting.

Little explorers will love the thrill of a rainy-day treasure hunt!

6. Library adventures and storytime

A rainy day is the perfect excuse to head to the library and stay dry, with cosy reading nooks, crafts, activities, and regular storytimes. There are also fun programs like Bounce and Rhyme for little ones, themed events like LEGO challenges, holiday crafts, and a variety of interactive resources. Let the kids pick out a new book, dive into an activity pack, or join a group activity to pass the day away.
