FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS // Where To Vote On The Sapphire Coast

Where to place your vote in the Eurobodalla in the 2025 Federal Government Election on Saturday 3 May.

SHARE

Australian residents are due to vote in the upcoming Federal Government Election 2025 on Saturday 3 May.

Residents of the Sapphire Coast are in the Eden-Monaro Federal Electorate.

There are a number of ways you can vote either in advance or on the day by heading to a polling booth.

If you don’t think you can attend a polling booth on election day, check out your other options for submitting your vote here

LET’S BREAK IT DOWN

There are two main groups of people in the Australian Parliament. The House of Representatives and the Senate. The House of Representatives (also called the lower house) is made up of one person from each area of Australia, called an electorate. These representatives are elected by the people in their area and help make the laws and decisions that shape the country. The Senate (also called the upper house) is made up of several people from each state and territory. Their job is to review the laws passed by the House of Representatives and make sure they’re fair for everyone.

POSTAL VOTE

You are eligible to apply for a postal vote if you are unable to get to a polling place on election day.

Apply for a postal vote online here

Ballot papers must be completed and witnessed on or before election day.

To make sure your vote is counted, return your ballot papers to the AEC within 13 days of the election.

PRE-POLLING

If you can’t get to a polling place on election day, you can vote at an early voting centre.

Click here to find a local early voting centre. Remember to select the Pre-poll locations box.

TELEPHONE ASSISTED VOTING

Telephone assisted voting will be available during the early voting period and on election day for electors who are blind or have low vision.

ACCESSIBILITY

ON THE DAY

Polling booths will be open from 8am to 6pm.

Polling booth locations

Your closest polling booth will be dependent on which electoral divisions you are in.

Information about locations for Eden-Monaro residents can be found here

WHO ARE THE CANDIDATES

If you are interested in finding out more about the candidates for both the Senate and House of Representatives you can explore more on the Australian Electoral Commission website.

Head here to search with your postcode or suburb name and then you will be provided with a list of candidates for that area.

And one more thing!

What’s an election day without a sausage sanga? This website will point you to the polling booths serving up tasty treats. It’s probably a self-nominated thing, so not every spot might be listed, but it’s still a handy little heads-up, right?!
