Description
Camel Rock Brewhouse was established in 2017 in Allowah House, located within BIG4 Wallaga Lake Holiday Park. It holds the distinction of being the first microbrewery on the Sapphire Coast and the first brewery in a holiday park anywhere in the world.
Camel Rock Brewery is the first microbrewery and bistro on the Sapphire Coast of NSW and the first microbrewery and bistro built in a holiday park worldwide. The brewery and bistro are housed in the historic Allawah House, originally built in 1917 on Paynes Island at Wallaga Lake Bridge. In 1932, it was relocated to its present site and served as a family home while the property operated as a white nectarine farm.
In the late 1960s, the farm was sold and converted into a caravan park, and the house was extended into five flats. In 2016, renovations began to transform the flats into a microbrewery and bistro, officially opening in Easter 2017.
Today, Camel Rock Brewhouse is a vibrant space where craft beer and great food come together. Our brewery produces a range of exceptional beers, from crisp Pale Ales to rich Porters, all made with fresh, local ingredients.
