Description
In the elegant country town of Berry, it’s hard to miss this modernist motel on the north end of Queen Street with its white façade and eye-catching tangerine doors. An easy 600 metre stroll into the village.
Once upon a time, The Berry View was just another small humble 1950s drive-up-to-the-door roadside motel, but it’s been expertly flipped into a Palm Springs-style stay, worthy of the discerning traveller.
The Berry View has now been extended to include new deluxe suites and an infinity edge swimming pool, with a large deck area for guests to enjoy.
The retro exterior belies a modern heart — all 31 rooms have Smart-Lock technology for car-to-door check-in without having to talk to reception (but there are humans there if you need them!). Behind those eye-catching orange doors, the chic, light-filled rooms come in a range of configurations to suit road-tripping families, adventurous couples, or getaway groups of friends. Each room has its own bespoke design tweaks and countryside views or freestanding tubs, but the mid-century aesthetic, and pops of spicy tones, do not waver.
Petite and perfectly located, The Berry View is the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the storied town of Berry, from browsing vintage treasures and local fashion, to sipping local wine and devouring a sugar-dusted donut from The Famous Berry Donut Van.
