The Southern Highlands Community Foundation is a LOCAL not for profit community foundation which aims to connect and strengthen our district by supporting community initiatives to help build ongoing impact.

The Southern Highlands Community Foundation announces 2024 granting pool.

The Southern Highlands Community Foundation today announced that they will allocate a total of $250,000 dollars in Community Grants this year.

Applications for grants within the ranges of $1000 - $5000, $5000 - $10,000, and up to a maximum of $25,000 (in special circumstances) will be considered over two granting rounds of $125,000 each.

Nicole Smith, Chair of the SHCF said, “Community Grants are an essential part of our mission to build a strong and connected community across the Wingecarribee Shire. Grants are a wonderful way that we can help important projects like Angels in our Town, Community Links and the Charlotte Project get off the ground, build and grow. Our Grants Committee are rigorous in their approach, and judge applications based on impact and getting help and support to where it’s most needed”.

The SHCF is seeking grant applications for initiatives that support health and welfare, education, families, youth and aged care, community engagement, environmental projects and programs that support first nations people and culture.

2024 Granting Rounds
• Round 1 (open now) December 6th 2023 – March 28th 2024
• Round 2 July 1st 2024 – August 30th 2024

Since we started in 2001, we’ve distributed well over $1M in funds,   supported over 70 community projects and got behind over 50   community capacity building projects.
