After many years of traveling and working in the Southern Highlands and South Coast we have opened our new catering kitchen and restaurant in the beautiful township of Moss Vale.
Our goal is to make your next dinner party, or event as simple and stress free as possible.
The climates of the Southern Highlands are all about food, with wonderful produce straight from the farmers markets, fab wines, beautiful gardens and cosy fires in the winter. Our menus are the very reflection of this.
With four wonderful seasons to enjoy, hearty and rich braises and stews in the winter by the fire to simple farm fresh peaches and blackberries in the summer. Our Bowral menus display what is best of season and best of the local producers and suppliers.
When we can’t source local, our food philosophy extends to the best on offer. From oils, vinegars and chocolates to seafoods, salumi and meats. We try to sources the best and most sustainable products from around Australia and the world.
Our menus are based totally on you. We work with you to create the food that you want to eat. There are some fantastic producers in the highlands from truffle growers, olives, beef and fish and seafood from the south coast. We try to create a menu that is reflective of the environment and the terror of the Southern Highlands matching the food to your experience.

Choose your date, your event and one of our chefs will be in touch to tailor your menu for your individual needs.
2. Set the menu
Tell us what you love to eat and we will prepare a menu that suits your needs and showcases the food that you love. Lobster, truffles, lamb, scallops, oysters to caviar and beyond. The choice is yours.
3. Enjoy your private chef
Your personal chef will arrive about an hour before to set up in your kitchen. They’ll cook and serve the food that you love, with nothing for you and your guests to do except enjoy the private chef experience.

Dinner parties and intimate occassions
From sit down plated a la carte dinner parties to family style events or whatever your needs are.
We work with you to create special memories. Using only the finest table and stem ware as well as the finest produce all menus are created to suit your specific needs and requirements.

In-home chef
Coming to stay in Sydney or having friends and family over, or simply don’t feel like cooking? Our aim is to make it easy for you. In home chef and cooking service is offered as either short or long term options. Bowral Private Chef will come to your home and prepare meals from breakfast, lunch and dinner to snacks and cakes.
We are sensitive to all dietary needs and will accommodate accordingly.

Meet David

Chef David Lee has been cooking in some of the best restaurants for nearly thirty years.
Over the past six years he has worked for a wide range of clients across many different areas. Expounding the motto that nothing is impossible he offers a wealth of culinary knowledge across many different disciplines.
From desserts and pastry to special diets, fine dining and beyond. His work is consistent, clean and discrete.

Our menus
Our menus are based totally on you. We work with you to create the food that you want to eat.
From Indian banquets, American thanksgiving, plated fine dining, French patissierre and everything in between we aim to make your occasion a special one.
We aim to meet the needs of the most discerning clients and as such we personalise the food to whatever they might be. Our personal chefs specialise in all manner of dietary requirements from vegan to paleo, gluten free to keto and everything in between.
