Your accommodation is Burrawang's original bakery (c1870) and it is rustic yet cosy and comfortable. Distinctive features such as the baking oven, brickwork, the work floor, and barn-style doors are a reminder of The BVB's past and are complemented and contrasted by the modern conveniences necessary for a relaxing stay. The fireplace, in season, warms The BVB, and creates a contemplative and relaxing atmosphere; the aroma and bustle of the working bakery from yesteryear are easily imagined. The large living area contains a very comfortable queen size bed with quality linen and electric blanket. Relaxing chairs provide options for enjoying the fire, a movie, or a good book.

The spacious bathroom is well appointed with towels, robes and toiletries and hair dryer.

The kitchenette is equipped with crockery and cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, basic cookware for microwave, refrigerator, tea bags, a Nespresso machine (pods provided), and a panel heater. There is an intimate corner table in the kitchenette overlooking the courtyard or guests can use the covered patio out through the west side door. But why would you come away to the beautiful southern highlands only to cook when there are so many marvellous options for breakfast, lunch or dinner either a stroll or short drive away? 

The patio or rear garden are ideal for morning coffee or for sharing a fine wine while enjoying the quiet and the passing parade of birdlife. The garden to the rear is just a few steps away and provides a private, sunny glade for enjoying some peace and solitude or the company of your companion.

The open fireplace is available for use from May 1 to September 30. It has an annual safety inspection and sweep during March/April. Out of season there is reverse cycle A/C for warming the living/sleeping area as well as a panel heater in the kitchenette.  Please bear this in mind when booking. As for other 'fires', the BVB is a strictly no smoking/vaping property.
