About

Hi there, I’m Helen, the founder and creative behind Mumma's Country Kitchen. I live in the stunning Southern Highlands, an hour and a half from Sydney in Australia and am a passionate home cook who firmly believes in the “paddock to plate” concept of eating. My kitchen is my happy place and my heart sings loudest when I am cooking up a feast using fresh seasonal produce and sharing it with loved ones. 

Mumma's Country Kitchen was designed to get people get back into the kitchen to cook or simply enjoy local seasonal produce. We also think that it’s ok to be a little naughty in order to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. Baking anything, whether sweet or savoury, is an absolute joy and when combined with the addition of fresh produce, is definitely a favourite food to share.

By sharing our dishes and recipes with you, we hope to show that good honest country style cooking  can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter where your kitchen may be!

Café/ Deli

If you would like to visit us in our cafe or deli, we just love a foodie chat! We are located within the old Robertson Cheese Factory and our opening hours are

10am - 4pm Wednesday and Thursday, and 9am - 4pm Friday through to Sunday. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

We offer a full menu featuring such good things as, to name a few, sausage and egg rolls using mince from local grass fed and finished beef, in-house granola

with in-season fruit, hearty casseroles and frittatas, plus an assortment of cheese platters for the more discerning palate including the ever popular ploughman's plate with a vintage cheddar, glazed ham and our in-house pickles and chutney!

Desserts are also a huge featureat our place - some days you may find a traditional tarte tatin or canelés, andother days you may come across a syrupy Greek baklava or an old school chocolate cake with the fudgiest frosting imaginable!

Our deli, in turn, stocks a variety of local and international cheeses with the selection changing every single week! In addition to cheese, sauces, jams, honeys and an array of amazing artisan products, we are also the proud sole stockists of Headwater Farms beef - 100% Black Angus, grass fed and local!
