Exeter School Friends Rally For Local Animals With A Heartfelt Fundraiser

From home-grown produce and baked goods to meaningful action. How a humble fundraiser became a way to support local animals.

SHARE

A simple fundraising idea blossomed into a heartfelt community effort, thanks to seven friends from Exeter Public School.

On Saturday, 8th March, these determined girls set up a charming farm stall on the front lawn of the Sutton Forest Inn, selling fresh eggs, homemade lemonade, delicious baked goods, beautiful blooms, and loads of garden-grown fruits and veggies – all to help raise money for FOWAS [Friends of Wingecarribee Animal Shelter].

Their dedication and enthusiasm didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks to generous donations and locals stopping by to show their support, they raised an impressive $1,026 for the animal shelter! How amazing!

What started as a small idea grew into an inspiring act of generosity – proof that a little effort can go a long way.

It’s a fantastic example of young people stepping up and making a real difference, showing that kindness and community spirit are always in season.

Well done, girls!
