We reckon the colder months make it even tougher. Thankfully, there are spots around the Highlands offering takeaway or delivery, so you can keep your comfy pants on and leave the frying pan nicely tucked away in the cupboard.

JBs Indian
Curries and colder months go hand in hand. Not only is this an excellent place to sit in for a meal, but it’s also a top choice for chowing down on your couch too! Orders can be made online or over the phone and they deliver to quite a few locations around the Highlands.
Hideout Bar and Grill
Loads of Mexican dishes like burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas as well as burgers, classic Aussie dishes and even kids’ meals. They have takeaway and delivery and are on both Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Onesta Cucina Takeaway Offering
This one’s a pick-up only kind of dealio [no delivery] but trust us, it’s worth backing the car out of the driveway for. Think dishes like creamy, hearty pasta, braised beef cheeks and even tiramisu for dessert… mmm. It’s available Tuesday – Friday for a limited time only.
AXE Thai Restaurant
The real question when ordering Thai is, how many spring rolls do we need… and should we add an extra Penang Curry? Go on, treat yourself! AXE Thai Restaurant in Bundy offers delivery, and you can place your orders over the phone or online.
Boozy Burgers
Gotta love a juicy, cheesy burger on take-out night, especially with some crispy, well-salted chips to match! There’s no delivery here, but picking up your order is the perfect excuse to grab a few brewskis from Eden Brewery next door to enjoy at home alongside your burg.
High Street Social Bowral
A good lunch option for the WFH home crowd or anyone who’s having a lazy weekend at home. Burgers, brunch/brekkie dishes and fresh drinks. It’s pick-up only for online orders and they also do catering.
Colosseum Pizza & Ribs
Pizza Party! Hot, fresh and loaded with toppings. Just what a chill night at home needs. They deliver to various locations around the Highlands and orders can be made online or over the phone.
High Tea To Go
For something totally out of the box, why not get your High Tea for takeaway??? Rochelle Adonis Catering does ‘High Tea To Go’ packages that can be pre-ordered for pick up in East Bowral or delivered around the Southern Highlands for an extra fee. 72 hours’ notice is needed for orders.
Oh, and Gumnut Patisserie also does a fab takeaway High Tea option that’s takeaway only.
Deeb’s Cafe and Patisserie
The cafe in Bowral offers a delicious-sounding homemade dinner service through their catering. Think soups, lasagnas, quiches, pies and much more. You can pick the meals up in the store or get them delivered for a fee.
Genki Poke
With the Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale locations now open until 8pm 7 days a week and offering delivery, we love that we can get our poke bowl fix dropped right at our doorstep. It’s like sushi in a bowl, but better!
The Bowral Asian Cuisine
Delivering to quite a few spots in the Highlands for a small fee, there’s plenty on the menu here that will get you tempted. With a mix of Thai, Vietnamese and Asian Fusion every type of takeaway enthusiast should be satisfied.

Korean Fried Chicken is all the rage right now and for good reason… It’s absolutely delicious. This Sydney chain has set up shop in Mittagong, offering local delivery and online orders for pick-up.

An excellent choice for ordering your food and coffee online for takeaway. They also have a fantastic market and deli where you can pick up fresh produce, pantry staples, and even ready-to-heat meals for later.

We’re not kidding when we say we’re OBSESSED with dumplings, and Will’s Kitchen keeps that obsession going strong [IYKYK]. Open for eat in and takeaway every day except Thursday.

This Robbo pizza joint has a bit of a cult following, and yep, we’re definitely part of it. It’s takeaway only here [no delivery], but alongside their woodfired pizzas, they’ve got pastas, salads, and nommy bites like chicken wings, salads, and jalapeno poppers… drool!
Mmmm, now we’re seriously craving some takeout. Will it be pizza? Thai? Maybe a kebab? Or how about some poke? Luckily, we can get them all in the Highlands!
