We’re huge advocates for supporting small businesses, you guys know that!
And we’re so lucky to have so many local butchers, bakers, grocers, providores and farmers that are keeping our pantries and fridges well-stocked.
Keep supporting these small, family owned businesses – these guys have been there for us forever and are pretty darn passionate about what they do!
BUTCHERS & DELICATESSENS
The thing we love about our local butchers is that many of them either run their own cattle locally or source their meat from local or surrounding areas. That’s why the quality is so good.
Maugers Meats sell 100% grass fed lamb and beef that has been sustainably raised right here in the Southern Highlands. You can even order it online and have it delivered to you. And if you haven’t already, swing by their flagship store in Bowral that recently got a revamp – looks fab!
Mae Hill Farm opened their stylish looking butchery in 2022 and are serving up fantastic paddock to plate goods, including monthly meat boxes delivered to your door.
And Helen of Mumma’s Country Kitchen in the Robertson Cheese Factory has a fridge stocked full of beef raised on her own farm just 7 minutes from Robertson. How local is that?
And local deli’s are awesome for stocking up on a variety of smoked meats and cold cuts [and many have yummo cheeses on offer too!].
