Here’s all you need to know about this awesome local business.

How Mae Hill Farm Came To Be
Frances Vasales and her hubby Chris were living the busy city life in Sydney, juggling their businesses and raising kids.
After years of hustle and bustle, they knew something had to change.
In 2017, Chris suggested a big shift. What if they swapped city life for a farm in the hills? Frances was all in.
They found the perfect spot here in the Highlands, with fertile soil, natural springs, and breathtaking views …. who could resist?!
Frances, who grew up on a sheep farm, couldn’t wait to get back to her roots.
In 2018, she and Chris rolled up their sleeves, built up their herd of pedigree cattle, sheep, and pigs, and started growing veggies, herbs, and fruits.
And they decided to do it all naturally… no chemicals or fertilisers, just good old-fashioned farming.

What Makes Mae Hill Farm Special
Mae Hill Farm is all about sustainability and high standards of animal care.
It’s set 700 metres above sea level with rich red soil, plenty of rain, and a climate that’s perfect for raising high-quality beef, lamb, and pork.
The animals have plenty of space to roam around and graze on fresh pastures.
At Mae Hill, everything is done with nature in mind.
They use rotational grazing so the animals always have fresh, green pasture to enjoy. They also stick to simple and natural methods, with no chemicals, hormones, or antibiotics, just healthy animals, healthy soil, and tasty produce.

Meet The Breeds
Mae Hill Farm’s animals are carefully chosen to produce tender and high-quality meat.
Here’s a look at the breeds on the farm:
British White Cattle: These cows are hardy and disease-resistant, known for producing tender beef. Their meat is low in fat and cholesterol, packed with flavour, and great for everything from steaks to roasts.
Black Face Suffolk Sheep: These sheep are known for their tender, flavourful lamb that’s perfect for your next meal.
Hampshire Pigs: A rare, endangered breed, Hampshire pigs are raised on fresh pastures and fed a 100% chemical-free diet. The result is lean, succulent pork that’s perfect for crackling.
Mae Hill Farm also raises chickens, and their eggs are deeeeelish. With all-natural feed and plenty of space to roam, these hens are living their best lives, and you can taste the difference in their eggs.

Why We Love Mae Hill Farm
Chris and Frances have created something really special.
They’re not just farming for profit, they’re farming for the future with a deep respect for the land and their animals.
