15 excellent spots for a happy hour or two around town
Whether it’s a post-work wind-down bevvie or a tipple or two to get the night going, we love a good happy hour here in the Highlands.
We’ve rounded up some top-notch drink deals around the towns and villages for locals to get their sip on.
Wines that won’t burn your wallets and beers that won’t break the bank, there’s plenty of goodies to be had.
Here’s where to look:
Berrima Vault House :: Every Friday from 4 pm-6 pm you can score their signature cocktails for $15 each.
Moss Vale Services Club :: Enjoy double the fun with not one, but two happy hours! That’s right, you’ve got two chances to grab some cheap drinks on the weekend. Swing by on Fridays between 4 pm and 6 pm, and then again on Saturdays from 2 pm to 5 pm. And if you’re sticking around on Saturday, why not belt out some karaoke tunes starting at 7 pm? Cue Bohemian Rhapsody…. Mamma oooooooo!
Scottish Arms Hotel :: Every work day from 4 pm-5 pm except for on Thursdays when it’s 4 pm-5:30 pm… so you can sneak in an extra half hour of happiness.
Surveyor General Inn :: Locals happy hour every Thursday from 3 pm to 5 pm. Thursday is also meat tray raffle night…. We reckon meat just somehow tastes better when it’s won in a raffle, right?
Highlands Hotel :: Happy hour is on from 4 pm – 6 pm, Mondays through Thursdays. If you stick around for another hour on Tuesdays you can have a go at their Trivia night which starts at 7pm and has free entry and some great prizes
The Imperial Hotel :: Have a happy hour here from 4 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Burrawang Village Hotel :: From 5 pm until 7 pm on Friday evenings you can grab $6 select schooners and $ 7 select wines. And as if that wasn’t enough, they throw in $2 Oysters as well! This is totes living large on a small budget and we’re impressed.
The Bowral Hotel :: From 5 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Thursday. Members only.
The Hungry Monkey :: Wednesdays are where it’s at for The Hungry Monkey. From 4 pm-6 pm, you can nab $10 cocktails, $5 tap beers, wines and spirits AND $12 burgers. The next cheap date night is sorted!
The Friendly Inn :: Grab a discount on tap beers every Thursday from 4-7 pm and every Sunday from 3-7 pm.
Bowral Bowling Club :: Every Tuesday to Sunday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Can’t go past a $5.50 beer now, can we?
Robertson Bowling Club :: Tap beers at happy hour prices from 5 pm-6 pm every weekday.
Sutton Forest Inn :: Happy hour every Saturday from 3 pm- 5 pm. If you’re a member you can score 10% off food and drinks from Monday to Thursday, so membership practically pays for itself really!
Well, we know where we’ll be for the next few nights at least. Sipping up all the savings!
