If you went out to eat a delish meal and didn’t post it on our Insta feed did you even actually go out??
But seriously, who else can’t resist scrolling through Instagram, ogling at stunning meals and feeling the urge to lick their phone screen?
We’re totally hooked on all those beautiful plates of mouth-watering food, dazzling drinks, and stylish decor filling the Insta feeds of cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries, and pubs in the Highlands.
So, we’ve rounded up some of the most Instagram-worthy places to eat and drink in the Southern Highlands – have you got a fave?
1 :: Centennial Vineyards
Both the vineyard’s and restaurant’s Insta feeds are full of lovely glasses of red and white, greenery for days and drool-worthy bites.
We also love that they share piccys of some of the stunning events that are held here, including weddings. Who doesn’t love taking a poppy peak at some lucky locals’ big day just for funsie?

2 :: Links House
There was always so much gorgeousness to follow on the Links House Insta feed, but when they opened ETHOS, their amazing onsite restaurant, it’s fair to say their Insta-game went next level.
Now, dotted amongst the fab garden and décor pics, there are what we call lick pics! Those pics we mentioned earlier, that look so delicious they tempt you into licking your phone….we probs need to invest in a drool-proof phone case.

3 :: The Parting Glass
This funky and fun cocktail bar in the heart of Bowral whips up sips and nibbles that are pure artistry. Add that to their amazing retro-chic interiors, and your next visit is guaranteed to generate an Insta post that’s totally on point!

4 :: Highlands Merchant
Everything about their feed and stories are stunning, delicious and simply gorgeous, but it’s the Highlands Merchant mural in Moss Vale that has become an Insta-hit with out-of-towners and locals.

5 :: Franquette Creperie
Move over Christiano Rinaldo and Kylie Jenner, the biggest thing on our Insta feed at the moment is the incredible looking [and tasting] crepes at Franquette Creperie.
The only question left is to Flambee or not to Flambee? Or both!

6 :: Eschalot Restaurant
This legendary Highlands eatery, led by locals Matt and Cass, never fails to knock our socks off with each and every post.
Of course, we love all the awesome pics of the food but we also love the honesty of the posts and the real captures of family life behind-the-scenes.

7 :: Osborn House
Fantastic pics await in both George’s Bar and Dinah’s restaurant but it’s the Osborn House Fire Feast photos that really send us over the edge.
Usually running from April to November these South American-inspired live-fire cooking experiences are a feast for all the senses.

8 :: Potters Pantry
The entire feed is a celebration of deliciously country meals and treats, but we especially love it when they share their latest cake creation on Insta.
Get in our mouths, please.

9 :: Raw & Wild
Delicious, healthy + super sexy on your feed. You can totally get your smugness on when you snap a pic of brekkie at Raw & Wild. #blessed
Oh and don’t forget a selfie in front of their funky plant wall. #doubleblessed

10 :: Flour Bar
Bakery, restaurant, AND wine bar—talk about a trifecta of photo opportunities! Whether you’re flaunting a perfectly crafted cup of java or indulging in a delicious ‘spressi martini, Flour Bar is giving.

11 :: Berrima Vault House
This beautiful old Georgian building has been given a new lease of life and now we spend half our time working out whether we want to sit and snap in The Vinery, go al fresco on the verandah watching the world go by or under the festoon lights next to the humongous outdoor fireplace in The Rose Garden.

12 :: Eden Brewery
We love the real and industrial look and feel of Eden’s Insta feed (and keeping updated on what amazing brew they’ve come up with next!).

13 :: Bendooley Estate
This one ticks all the boxes.
1. Vineyard- yep!
2. Fire pit- uhuh!
3. Cracking sunsets- oh yeah!
Oh and bonus points for the Berkelouw Book Barn where bibliophiles can get the perfect shot whilst they lunch.

14 :: The Robertson Hotel
A grand old dame of Highlands hotels, this beautiful building is nearly 100 years old.
The Robertson Dining Room is a celebration of the glamour years of the 1920s with beautiful ceilings, wooden floorboards, crystal and white linen. So fresh but so fashionably vintage too.

15 :: The Press Shop
Take it from those in the iphoneography know, it’s not easy to take pics of coffee that make you want to dive into one!
But The Press Shop definitely know how!
AND they’re housed in one of the most stunning buildings in Bowral – what’s not to love?

16 :: Sutton Forest Inn
You’d be hard-pressed to find a more chilled location to catch a Highlands sunset than the outdoor area out the back of this gorgeous country pub.
Exhibit A………

17 :: The What If Society
These guys in Moss Vale live and breathe sustainability, local and seasonal, and it shows in not only how great their food tastes but how good it looks on the plate too.

18 :: Bistro Sociale
Now, this revelation might be a little hard for you to believe, but we are big fans of a pre-dinner aperitif. Who’d have thunk it?
So we love how Bistro Sociale shares the delicious concoctions they create in their bar, The Gin Trading Co. Because then we go and drink them.

19 :: PepperGreen Estate Cellar Door & Tasting Room
What’s not to adore about a feed that celebrates delicious local wine and produce?
We especially love the bit where we get to sip and nibble once we’ve finished taking our snaps.

20 :: The Boston Ivy 1880
One of the prettiest entrances in allllll of the land. And the food and courtyard area are fab too – especially in autumn!

21 :: Burrawang Village Hotel
The courtyard, the sunshine, the wisteria, the big shady brollies….need we say more?

22 :: Briars Inn
This awesome spot offers up so much insta-worthy goodness.
Choose between the vine-covered deck, the front lawn with the gorgeous brollies and fun games, or The Tin Shed – a fun space where wood-fired pizza is on offer.

23 :: Pecora Cheese and Wine
A gorgeous addition to the wonderful range of food + bevvie venues in Robertson, this place is super-stylish with sweet nooks, beautiful marble [the PERFECT Instagram backdrop surface, we reckon!] and of course, two of our favourite things – wine AND cheese. Yay!

24 :: U Jelly Cafe
Okay, these folks are making drink-sta-gram a thing with their epic freakshakes. Bound to get so many ‘heart’ emoji reactions and def some ‘eyes’ emojis too!
