SAY BYE BYE TO 2024 WITH A FAB NIGHT OUT THIS NYE
New Years Eve Southern Highlands style is gathering some momentum and there are some pretty great options to celebrate bringing in 2025!
We’ve searched restaurants, pubs, clubs as well as a couple of do-it-yourself casual party spots too.
So if you’re after a family fireworks night, outdoor feasting, or a chance to boogie the night away, the Highlands has gotcha covered!

NYE 2024 at Sutton Forest Inn
Bryen Willems & The Bayou Boogie Boys will be kickin’ off the live tunes at Sutton Forest Inn from 5:30 pm followed by The Total Misfits who’ll keep you groovin’ late into the night.
They’ll also be running a bus service from Moss Vale & Sutton Forest… sweet!
NYE 2025 at Ethos in Links Hotel
It’s always a gorgeous time here, but we think their NYE event will be extra special.
The usual delicious menu is available along with seafood platters and fabulous cocktails.
NYE 2025 at Bundanoon Hotel
Oooo we just love the sound of this glitzy summer soiree at Bundanoon Hotel. Don your sparkles peeps.
Your ticket includes 2 courses, a late night snack and a glass of bubbles at midnight. Plus lots of live music to keep the party pumping.
New Year’s Eve ‘Feed Me’ BBQ Lunch or Dinner at Eschalot
We love Matty and Cass at Eschalot for their produce driven, chef inspired creations and so we double love the idea of feasting into the new year with them.
We love that there’s both a lunch and dinner seating for this one so you can take your pick. Make sure to book your spot asap.
Osborn House Fire Feast
Experience traditional live fire cooking at Osborn House. Think dishes like Rib Eye on the Bone A la Brasa with chimichurri, Charred Cauliflower Blossom and Pancake from their Planchas with Dulce De Leche and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Local Pubs + Clubs Will Be Jumping
The Mittagong RSL have live music from The Martini Henry’s – Ironstone Dining fills up quickly on NYE so make sure you book a table if you’re swinging by to bring in 2025 at the RSL.
Up the road, Hotel Bargo is throwing an 80’s rock party.

Start 2025 With A Bang
The Friendly Inn in Kangaroo Valley will be hosting their annual family friendly fireworks New Years Extravaganza. Tix are around $20 for adults, $12.50 for juniors and free for kiddos under 13.
Head over early to grab a good spot for food, music and all those bright sparkly sky-lighters.
Do It Outdoors, Baby!
Looking for a casual DIY evening that may or may not last till midnight, here’s a few BBQ and picnic spots that might suit you better.
The Berrima Camping Ground at the bottom of Oxley St is a really great spot for a group of friends to spend the afternoon, playing games, listening to music, having a BBQ and just generally kicking back Aussie style!
They have great amenities, with BBQ facilities, toilets, playground equipment for the kids, and if you decide to have a few champagnes to celebrate you could even stay the night at the camping ground?
You’ll need to pre-book if you want to camp. And if it’s a scorcher of a day then you can have a dip in the river.
There’s been a lot of chatter about snakes being out and about at the moment, so please be aware when you are around bushland like the Berrima Reserve! Eeekkk sorry, we had to mention it!
Bradman Park is always a favourite spot for locals to gather and picnic for special occasions.
It’s central and in town, nice lush grass to laze around on, sheltered picnic tables and of course a playground for the kids.
