6 Reasons You Need smART Automations In Your Home And Business – Stat!

SHARE

A local start-up with all the tech we need to give us time, security + some money back in our pockets!

Do you hear about amazing smART technologies for home or business, and think they sound super fancy but assume only the biggest tech-heads must be able to use them?

Well, we’re here to tell you that’s absolutely not the case! SmART technologies are available to everyone.

AND there’s a local company that can help you work out what you need, set it all up for you and assist with any ongoing questions or maintenance you have.

One of our faves, Southern Highlands tech start-up The Techery, offers installation and maintenance of the latest smART technologies as well as access to reliable rural internet.

The best part – you’ll have the latest tech at your doorstep [literally – they have fancy doorbells!] and a REAL person to walk you through it.

Still think it seems too complicated for you?

We chatted to The Techery’s Head of Technical Operations, Reuben Scott and Senior Field Technician, Lewis Harelle about how embracing the tech [the actual tech, not Reuben and Lewis] and installing smART automations in your home and/or business can be a total game changer.

1 :: Make life simple

Imagine walking into your home and having everything controlled by the touch of a button.

Effortlessly closing blinds, opening locks, activating security cameras or turning on lights. It’s THAT simple.

“We’re giving people back their time,” says Reuben.

“We’re all about simplifying life for our clients.”

2 :: Peace of mind

Have you ever gone on a holiday and had that moment of freak out about whether you locked the door or turned off an appliance? Not anymore!

You can check all your doors and power points from an app.

Door not locked – lock it remotely.

Need to let your neighbour in to feed the cats? Give them a one-off code to allow entry.

Less time worrying and more time to relax. Yes please! Now, about that holiday….

3 :: Cost efficient set-up

We bet you’re sitting there thinking if it’s that amazing, it must be expensive.

Lewis says noooooo.

“People are under the impression it’s ridiculously expensive to set up, but it isn’t. As technology has grown, access to the technology has too and that’s brought prices right now.”
There are also amazing cost-saving options for many security systems.

“We offer both battery and solar-powered options. We have batteries that last a whole year. And our solar-based systems you can literally just set-up and leave. There are no further costs,” Lewis told us.

Smart.

4 :: Save money on electricity

Yep, these technologies are not only cheap to set up, they can also save you money on your power bills [something we’re all copping in the feels at the moment!].

By setting timers or remotely turning controlling power points and appliances, you only use [and pay for] electricity when you really need it.

“Our customers are often surprised at how much their power bills go down once they have smART automations. It’s a huge benefit of these systems,” Lewis says.

5 :: Keep your business safe and secure

These technologies aren’t just for residential users.

SmART technologies can be installed in your business premises where you can monitor them remotely.

“We get a lot of Airbnb owners, and farm clients,” says Reuben, noting how these technologies can work for a range of businesses.

“We recently did an install of security cameras for a beekeeper’s hive. That was cool. Now he can remotely monitor the hive, which he was thrilled about.”

We bet it gave him quite the buzz!

6 :: Remote monitoring – anywhere, anytime

Do you own a farm you need to monitor?

Or a holiday rental that you can’t always check on?

Your location is no longer a barrier to the best technology.

“We can put this technology into homes and businesses anywhere. We also have a range of rural and remote internet packages. Our battery and solar security options are also fantastic for those remote locations,” Lewis says.

The latest up-to-date technology that gives you time back, keeps you and your loved ones safe and secure, and a locally owned business offering genuine service. What a combo!

Sounds amazing, right?! We sure think so.

Gone are the days of tech companies existing only in Silicon Valley, we’ve got the best and latest right here in the Southern Highlands, with the added bonus of good ol’ fashioned customer service.

If you’re excited to talk to someone about what smART technologies are available  [yes, a real live person + a local at that!] give The Techery a call on 02 4883 6781, or you can grab a heap of smART home info from their website here.
