A family run business in the Southern Highlands

When it comes to building your dream home, you want a team you can trust, a team that understands your vision and takes the time to make it a reality.

That’s exactly what David and Renee O’Brien, the lovely couple behind family biz Wattle Court, have set out to do.

David and Renee have been in the building game for over 17 years and have built a solid rep in the Southern Highlands. Even before starting Wattle Court, their focus on family and commitment to quality made them well-known and loved.

A Family Business With Heart

At the core of Wattle Court is their family-first philosophy, which we can totally get behind.

David and Renee have had skin in the building game since the late 90s, but they’ve been life partners even longer, meeting in high school and working together to build a life and a business. LOVE IT!

Wattle Court is a true family business. Their two sons are also part of the team, along with a close-knit group of staff and tradespeople. Together, they’re all committed to creating homes as unique as the people who live in them.

David, Renee and their sons are involved in the business’s day-to-day operations. Whether it’s answering questions on the spot or working alongside their team, they really want every client to feel like part of the family.

Trust, Transparency, And Local Connections

One of the things that makes Wattle Court so special is their commitment to building trust with their clients.

The team believes in a personalised approach, making sure that every project is tailored to their client’s needs and dreams.

“We know what it’s like to be on the other side of the build,” David says. “We want to make the process as enjoyable as possible, with clear communication and no hidden surprises.”

They also pride themselves on their local connections and community focus.

Living in the Southern Highlands now for over 17 years, David and Renee are well and truly locals.

“We live local, shop local, and support local,” David says.

From sourcing materials or recommending local services, Wattle Court is all about supporting the Southern Highlands and its residents.

Bringing Dreams To Life With Custom And Quality Builds

Wattle Court focuses on creating spaces where families can grow and thrive.

From custom-built homes to knockdown rebuilds, they offer services to suit every need and budget.

Each home they create is designed with the Southern Highlands in mind, considering both our one-of-a-kind landscape and climate.

Their homes are more than just structures; they are living, breathing spaces where every detail is carefully thought out.

“We design our homes to be comfortable year-round,” David explains. “The Southern Highlands can be harsh in both winter and summer, so we make sure our builds exceed industry standards for insulation, energy efficiency, and comfort.”

Maybe you’re after a super cool Hamptons-style retreat or a contemporary, eco-friendly design, either way, Wattle Court can create something both stylish and functional.

And if you have something completely unique in mind [so fun], they are open to collaborating and creating a design from scratch.

With decades of experience, David and Renee know what works in the Southern Highlands, and they use that knowledge to create homes that are both beautiful and practical.

Personalised Service And Expert Craftsmanship

We really are impressed by Wattle Court’s commitment to a personalised building experience.

Dedicated to both vision and craft, when building your home with Wattle Court you can expect to work directly with the builders from start to finish.

No middlemen, no confusing jargon, just straightforward, honest communication and expert craftsmanship. How good is that?!

“We want our clients to feel like they’re part of the process,” says Renee. “We guide them through every step of the build, from the initial design right through to handing over the keys.”

This means the end result truly matches the client’s vision, and the whole process is way smoother and stress-free. Sounds like a dream come true!

Wattle Court’s team may be small, but their passion is big.

They bring a great mix of local know-how and industry-leading expertise, making sure every project delivers top-notch results.

Whether it’s choosing materials, finalising designs, or managing the build, the Wattle Court team is there for their clients every step of the way.

The Future Of Wattle Court

Just like Renee and David, we’re so excited about what the future holds for Wattle Court.

Plans for display homes are already in the works, with the first one set to open in 2025.

Who else loves a good lookie-loo through display homes, imagining all the amazing possibilities? We’re defo looking forward to checking out Wattle Court’s new one next year.

“We’re excited to see where Wattle Court goes from here,” says Renee. “We have a great team, we’re deeply invested in the community, and we’re passionate about delivering high-quality homes that our clients will love.”

David and Renee’s passion for their work, their clients, and the Southern Highlands is seriously contagious.

They are a family business with a passion for building, a focus on personalised service, and a commitment to quality, what’s not to catch?!

So, when you choose Wattle Court, it’s not like you’re just choosing a builder, you’re choosing a dedicated, family-run team that is keen to bring your dream home to life.

That personalised service, expert knowledge, and strong relationship with the Highlands community help make the process smooth, enjoyable, and easy.

If you’re ready to start building or thinking about taking the next step, the team at Wattle Court are excited to help you get going. Reach out to them via their website, over the phone or by visiting their office in Moss Vale
