It’s super private with Crown Land on one side, the river on another and another property on the third side with loads of trees in between. 

You will honestly feel like you’re in the middle of the bush here [which you kinda are!] but you’re only a few minutes from the sweet town of Berrima and 10 minutes more to Bowral.

And how cute is this little jetty where you can put your own boat in for some fishing, or jump on a kayak or canoe for some exercise?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The Southern Highlands have the whole sweeping driveway thing goin’ on and Riverview is no exception with its picture-perfect manicured pines on either side of the drive leading you towards the expansive main residence. 

GARDEN GOALS!!

The whole property is on 14 acres and a whole lot of that is made up of pretty spectacular parklike gardens.  

And because everything is looking so lush and green at the moment, it’s taken the gardens to the next level.

We also love how the gardens are all irrigated from the river too. Would definitely help with the water bills!

THE CUTEST COUNTRY COTTAGE

The main house is huge but it’s always nice to have somewhere a little cosy to escape to.

Or extra space for family and friends when they come to stay. 

Or don’t keep the property to yourself – Airbnb it! 

The soaring ceilings give this cottage the feeling of space. 

We love the rustic interiors, bringing the outside in and giving it that natural, bushland vibe. 

It’s completely self-contained with a timber kitchen, slow-combustion stove which helps keep the cottage warm in the winter months, and it has it’s own back deck, carport and fire pit area! 

Might be perfect for the in-laws….. they’d never knock on YOUR door if their place was as cute as this. Just sayin’.

SPACE AND MULTI-PURPOSE ROOMS

For us, our favourite part of this five-bedroom house [with separate office + 6 car garage] is a tight call between the billiard room, the mud room and the very cool ‘The Lookout’ which you get to from a set of stairs in the foyer for 360-degree views of the property. Stunning. 

But TBH, we’re pool sharks from way back, so this billiard room has totally got it going on for us.

And of course, there’s loads of living space.

And you can choose from multiple bedrooms to lay your head and bathrooms to relax in.

OUTDOOR LIVING FOR THE WIN

But we’re not sure we’d spend all that much time indoors when there’s 14 acres of paddocks, gardens, a pond and gazebo, the veggie gardens, chicken coop, tennis court, and al fresco areas to explore and settle into for the morning / afternoon / evening!

Big fave is this fire pit area.

Dang, we love a good fire pit in the Highlands, don’t we??
