We took a trip down the mountain to ogle this gorge Jamberoo property

You know we’re suckers for a sneaky peek inside local homes, especially when local interior designer Jess Hunter of Jess Hunter Interior Designs has worked her magic on them.

So when she invited us to check out one of her recently completed projects, just outside of the Highlands, in Jamberoo, we knew we just had to set eyes on it.

Knowing how awesome Jess’s work is, we were sure it would be top-notch, seriously stylish, and give us some major house envy—and yep, it totally delivered.

Prepare to have your breath taken peeps!

The Project began back in 2020.

Our clients had just engaged their builder LIME Building who recommended they contact us for the interior design – [excellent choice!]

We finished our design work in January 2021 and the project’s construction was completed early 2022.

Our clients lived in Darwin during the build of the home which meant we actually didn’t meet face to face for over a year.

Due to our clients living interstate, all of our meetings and presentations were held via Zoom. So when it came to final decisions on materials and finishes we sent sample boxes over to them, so they still had the full experience of being able to touch and feel the selections before we finalised any documentation.

Our clients both have strong connections to the environment in both their professional and personal lives. So creating a design scheme that connected the incredible landscape that surrounded the property was extremely important to them.

We drew inspiration from all different natural elements; from the sea to the rolling hills, and created a scheme that represented these aspects beautifully.

Our scope was to design the bathrooms, kitchen & pantry, we also designed the bedroom joinery and the interior colour scheme.

It is always such a pleasure to work with other great businesses such as LIME Building, The Landscape Studio (Karen, our clients business) and BHI Architects. We all collaborated so well throughout the project.

Thanks Jess for showing us around today, but before we see ourselves out we’ll just do a touch more ogling if that’s ok with you?
