Why you’re totally going to catch us at Berida Hotel all season long
Berida Hotel is a total Southern Highlands gem for us. The building exudes that classic old-country charm, with a super-stylish interior, and is staffed by some of the warmest and most welcoming folks you’ll meet. It’s a place where you can kick back, relax, and soak up all the goodness. It’s a good time, all round.
As spring bursts into full bloom, you better believe we’ll be making the most of it right here at Berida. And guess what? We’ve got five darn good reasons why you should join us in embracing this fantastic season. Let’s dive right into it!

1// The dining
Bistro Sociale, Berida Hotel’s French-inspired European Bistro and Gin Bar is just superb. From the absolutely crackers buffet brekkie [locals can book this in, too! And who doesn’t LOVE a buffet?!] to lunches [check out thier weekday Prix Fixe lunch menu – we LOVED!] and dinners that are taaasty to the last bite we just can’t get enough. Their menu is seasonal and changes weekly depending on the availability of the freshest and finest locally sourced ingredients so there’s always a reason to go back.
Their exclusive range of steaks are carefully sourced from chosen producers, with a focus on grass-fed cattle that are later finished off with grain for a most premium dining experience. Drool!
Have a read about Executive Chef Nathan Jackson and his passion for food.
Don’t even get us started on the desserts and dessert cocktails. The last time we were lucky enough to visit we were losing our minds over the burnt Basque cheesecake [IYKYK] and finished our night in the most decadent way with the Aztec chocolate old-fashioned.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 7 am to 10 pm so pretty much anytime is a good time to go. Make the most of the finer weather and treat yourself to a sumptuous meal here, you deserve it for making it through winter really!

2// The drinks
Berida Hotel boasts not one, but two fantastic spots for enjoying drinks, each with its own unique and enticing charm.
Aspinalls Whisky Bar & Lounge has that dreamy touch of luxury and classic décor. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends, date night or have a casual meeting. The soft lighting creates a cosy atmosphere, and whisky connoisseurs rejoice because they’ve got one of the Southern Highlands’ most impressive collections of carefully chosen world-class whiskeys.
For anyone who loves a little nosh with their nip, they’ve got a tasty Tapas menu to satisfy your cravings, or you can pair your favourite whisky with a steak from Bistro Sociale. We love Aspinalls for unwinding in a comfy spot by the crackling fire with a smooth malt, aperitif, or warming liqueur. It’s the perfect way to let time slow down and enjoy the moment.
The Gin Trading Co is the second spot at Berida Hotel and is a gin lover’s dream. They boast a freakin’ impressive lineup of over 100 gins, covering all sorts of local, imported, vintage, rare, and craft varieties. We would just lurve to try them all!
When it comes to making your ideal G&T or gin-based cocktail, they’ve got you covered with a bunch of tonics and garnishes to choose from. Ooo fancy pants! But if Gin doesn’t actually tickle your fancy, they also stock a range of local, Australian, and European wines, spirits, and beers. Plus, they’ve got classic and signature cocktails to spice things up.
It’s a great spot for after-work drinks, hanging out with pals, or just unwinding during your hotel stay. And if you’re feeling a bit peckish, Chef Nathan Jackson and his crew have whipped up an awesome menu of bar snacks, tapas, and charcuterie that pairs perfectly with your gin adventure. Cheers to that!

3// It’s the place to celebrate
Whether you’re planning a corporate meeting, a casual drinks get-together, an intimate celebration, or a special private dinner, Berida Hotel’s dedicated events team is there to make sure your event goes off without a hitch and is properly enjoyable.
Book your next big conference with Berida and you are sure to impress, their stylish and well-equipped conference space can comfortably host up to 50, making it a perfect choice for small to midsize events right in Bowral.
Treat the people you love most to a one-of-a-kind dining experience at Bistro Sociale. Think intimate weddings, birthday celebrations, romantic anniversary meals or even just celebrating because.
Bistro Sociale also offers a stunning private dining room, perfect for you and up to 30 of your nearest and dearest to enjoy an exclusive dining experience, day or night. For groups bigger than 9 give ‘em a call to book so they can make sure your event is the best it can be.
We also love it for a sure-to-impress hens or bucks party idea, if your bride or groom is a lover of good drinks, good food and good vibes then we totes recommend checking it out.

4// Get your spa on
So, not only is there incredible eating and drinking indulgence, but there’s also indulgence from the top to the tail of ya! Sculptress at Berida Day Spa is one of the Southern Highlands’ most exclusive and luxurious day spas.
In their stylish clinic and day spa, you’ll find a fusion of classic and decadent pampering along with cutting-edge body sculpting techniques. Sculptress specialises in non-invasive alternatives to surgery and injectables, all made possible through their state-of-the-art aesthetic technology.
Get that summer bod sleek and shiny with facials, massages, lashes, brows and waxing. Check out HIFU, a non-surgical treatment, using collagen-stimulating technology to provide a natural alternative to injectable fillers. There’s also fat freezing, skin needling and cool lifting. New season, new you, baby!

5// There’s always something on
While we adore visiting Berida Hotel for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks or indulgence any day of the year, it’s extra special during occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, or when you’re planning a get-together for events like the Melbourne Cup [get in early and book before it fills]. Berida Hotel knows how to elevate these moments with themed menus, fantastic packages, and an incredibly fun atmosphere.
Right now, at Aspinalls they’re hosting incredible Whisky Tasting sessions. Try a 12-year-old, 15-year-old and 18-year-old Macallan Whisky all paired with some delicious La Rose Noir Chocolate. We think this sounds like a match made in heaven because both whisky and chocolate share some salty hints that amp up their flavours, especially when you throw in the smokiness of the whisky and the sweetness of the choccy. Book your session for a flavour hit! Check out our tasting experience here.

To stay in the loop about this exciting event as well as others, be sure to keep an eye on their Event Directory and their social media channels. These occasions tend to fill up fast, so don’t hesitate to make your reservations!
Berida Hotel holds a special place in our hearts and now is an excellent time to plan your visit. Round up the gang, clear your calendar and prepare for a super fun Spring ahead. YAY!
