Is it the long, winding driveway? The beautiful big trees? The original homestead that whispers welcome to the country? Is it the roaring fire in The Great Hall in the winter? Or the casual lunches in the sun-dappled courtyard in the warmer months?
Whatever it is, Peppers Manor House is super popular with visitors to the Southern Highlands. But many locals don’t know that this beautiful property in Sutton Forest welcomes locals with open arms too!
There’s loads to eat, drink and do!
And you know how we love a good list……well, here’s one we put together of all the fabulous things you can experience at Peppers Manor House.

1 :: DELICIOUS AND DELICATE // High Tea
We’ve been lucky enough to taste test the yummo high tea selection on offer and let’s just say we loved every part of it. Think teeny tiny delicacies perfectly sized for popping in your mouth, freshly baked scones – helllloooo – super fresh ribbon sandwiches, tea and bubbles! They’ve even got options for younger connoisseurs as well as gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan alternatives. The High Teas are available every Saturday including market days but you do need to book ahead.

2 :: DINE AT AN AWARD WINNING RESTAURANT // Katers Restaurant
There is a lot to love about Katers. The room is light and bright, the food is DELICIOUS and looks so pretty too, plus the ingredients are fresh and local. Add some super smooth customer service, and you’ve got a great spot for date night, family catch-ups, a ladies’ lunch or dinner with your people. A fab foodie outing.
We love the sound of the midweek dining specials where you can choose from 2 or 3 courses of heavenly goodness. We’re also hugely desperate to try the fennel risotto with truffle pecorino as well as the rose pavlova with mango salsa… drool!
Plus they’ve got an all-day grazing menu at the Nook bar with tasty treats like bruschetta and bao buns to make sure no one goes hungry at Peppers Manor House.
Picnic hampers – inc picnic hamper & basket, every day. Enjoy anywhere in the gardens. Also on market day as well as High Teas on Saturdays.

3 :: BUBBLES WITH A VIEW // The Casual Lounge
Gather up some friends and share a bottle of bubbles looking out across the gorgeous gardens of Peppers Manor House. A fun Sunday sesh with the afternoon sun streaming through the huge windows….ooh, we likey! The Casual Lounge is spacious and bright, and also available to hire privately for special gatherings.

4 :: AL FRESCO FUN // The Courtyard
How does sipping a crisp, chilled white wine while you work your way through the Manor House Grazing Platter overflowing with smoked ham, salami, cheese, olives, pickles, homemade chutney and sourdough bread in the sun-dappled courtyard sound…..’nuff said, right?

5 :: STEP BACK IN TIME // The Great Hall
A stunning space with soaring ceilings, stepping into The Great Hall is like crossing the threshold into an entry hall of a Scottish Highlands lodge. The open fire, the grand piano tucked under the ornate staircase and plush comfy lounges surrounded by imposing stone walls….this is the perfect place to unwind with a drink while sharing stories with friends.

6 :: SNEAKY WHISKEYS ON DATE NIGHT // The Nook Bar
Tucked away off The Great Hall, the Nook Bar is dark, cosy and intimate. Perfect for a pre-dinner drink before date night at Katers Restaurant or just grabbing some bar snacks and a sneaky gin or whiskey. A comprehensive wine list and cocktail menu is also available.

7 :: SPECTACULAR EVENTS // Weddings, Parties, Anything…
So many fab event options at Peppers Manor House. These guys are all geared up for anything from baby showers, special birthdays, anniversaries, hen’s parties and of course, weddings! From small groups right up to 200 guests, the team will help you create a gorgeous bespoke event experience. You can check out the wedding kit on their website or reach out to the team for any enquiries. Peppers Manor House also holds open days throughout the year, the next one is yet to be announced but we’ll let you know when it is.

8 :: BILLIARDS AND BEERS // The Games Room
Rack ‘em up and channel your inner pool shark in the Games Room. Grab some brewski’s from the bar and have a few laughs with friends over a game of pool.

9 :: LIFE’S A PICNIC // Katers Picnic Menu
Did you know you can order a delicious picnic hamper for two – put together by the talented chefs at Katers – and find a special spot in the gorgeous gardens of Peppers Manor House to lay a blanket down and work your way through the hamper. How fab is that? We had a stickybeak at the menu – how does Tasmanian smoked salmon, roasted chicken, sweet treats and sparkling wine sound (and that’s not even everything on the menu!). Ask Reception if you can borrow a boules set and have some al fresco fun at Peppers!

10 :: TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS // Conference Specialists
If you’ve got a team catch-up, group training session or conference on the horizon, think about doing it somewhere local. It’s nice and close to home for your delegates / team – no big drive – yet, so tranquil and quiet, it feels like you are well away from home. There are four meeting rooms to choose from, a range of award-winning catering options available and the team can also help with some supercool team-building activities – from clay shooting to volleyball, croquet to wine tasting and loads more.

11:: STROLL AND SHOP // Country Markets
On the fourth Saturday of every month, the grounds become filled with lovely market stalls selling loads of lovely homewares and artisan pressies.
Picnic blankets are laid out, there’s live music and just a friendly and welcoming atmosphere all around.
You can even pre-book a picnic hamper to enjoy on the day or treat yo’ self to a darling post-market High Tea. Could this be any more quintessential Highlands living?

We’re so lucky to have such a gorgeous venue here in the Highlands. So don’t be shy! Pop on in and say hi. The Peppers team are just lovely and love welcoming locals to their stunning property.
