Swimming Pools In The Southern Highlands

Local Swimming Pools

Updated: October 2024

One of our favourite things about summer is heading to the local pool, catching up with friends and ordering hot chips [why DO they taste better at the pool??].

Here’s a list of pools in the Southern Highlands that are ready and waiting for you to jump in and cool off.

Bowral Swimming Centre

Adult $5.40

Child (under 18 years) $4.20

Concession (Pensioners, Seniors & Students – card required) $4.20

School Student (entry for organised school activities during school hours only) $3.10

Spectator (defined as a guardian/direct relative accompanying/attending a child’s activity at the pool except Learn to Swim and Squad Training). $2.00

Adult actively supervising a child under 6 years (1 adult per under 6 years at this charge) $4.20

CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS Free

This pool is a local favourite and a great place to swim. It’s got something for everyone – from splashing about for the little ones through to dedicated lanes for some serious swimming.

There is a shaded toddler and wading pool, 25m and 50m pools. The pools are heated to 24 degrees so they aren’t too icy!

There’s a kiosk for some snacks and lunch [think hot chips, pies and sausage rolls] and also some shaded grassy areas so you can bring a picnic and stay a while.

Cherry Tree Walk is right next to the pool, so you can finish (or start!) the day off with a lovely walk or bike ride if it’s not too hot.
Hours of operation 2024/2025 season: 6th October 2024 – 23rd March 2025

Monday 6am – 7pm

Tuesday 6am – 7pm

Wednesday 6am – 7pm

Thursday 6am – 7pm

Friday 6am – 7pm

Saturday 8:30am – 7pm

Sunday 9:30am – 7pm

Public Holidays 10am – 5pm

Fun fact – if it reaches 31+ degrees the pool management often decide to keep the pool open longer so we can enjoy the cool water for longer.

It’s not always possible; it will depend on how many people are at the pool, staffing etc. Pretty awesome though!

Some shaded areas and picnic tables are available which are great if you plan on staying a while and picnicking.
