The Southern Highlands Property Market At A Glance

Based on industry data there are some 750 properties for sale in the designated Southern Highlands area – with little movement up or down. This equates to a similar number of properties sold as was listed.

This week we look at the Northern and Southern Villages of the Highlands. Both these destinations feature a wide selection of residential, lifestyle and rural holdings.

Let’s look at the Northern villages of Buxton, Balmoral Village, Tahmoor, Yerrinbool and Bargo.

The Northern Villages have a strong growth trend with growing residential land availability, close access to employment centres around Picton, Macarthur and Campbelltown [many within 30 minutes], growing retail and lifestyle offerings. Extremely popular with first-home buyers.

The Southern Villages of the Highlands include Exeter, Bundanoon, Penrose, Wingello and Tallong offer a range of residential, lifestyle and rural real estate options. In comparison to many other areas, the Southern Villages have a higher-than average, and spectacular, price growth.

Exeter: the median property price for a house is currently $2,487,500 with annual capital growth of 8.15%

Bundanoon: the median house price in Bundanoon is $1,095,000
