Southern Highlands property market at a glance
Property numbers grow.
Based on real estate property listings on major platforms, there are some 710 properties for sale in the Southern Highlands market, up from some 698 last week. These figures take into account property sales, new listings and, in some instances, properties being removed from the market.
Increased listings and sales as we head into spring indicate continued strength in the Highlands property market. Visitation to open homes continues to increase with favourable conditions.

Home prices peak as momentum accelerates.
According to the latest PropTrack Home Price Index, released on 1 Sept, Australian house prices are set to climb further.
Regional prices climbed 0.3% in August and are up 6.6% year-on-year, outpacing the capitals and maintaining a stronger five-year growth record (65.2% vs 46.0%), bolstered by affordability and lifestyle appeal.
Looking ahead, the combination of lower interest rates, increased borrowing capacities and improved sentiment is expected to continue to drive demand.
Constrained new housing supply, strong population growth and the expansion of the Home Guarantee Scheme from October will also maintain upward pressure on prices.
