Discover Yanderra: Village Living And Property Opportunities In The Highlands

Yanderra is described as a charming rural village, but in actual fact, it’s a lot more.

Surrounded by picturesque countryside and rolling hills, it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The village is known for its friendly community, tranquil atmosphere, and close proximity to nature. What more could you want?!

Initially settled by farmers in the late 1800s, the village started to establish itself when a station on the Great Southern Line was opened in Yanderra in 1924. The station was closed and demolished in 1975 and, unfortunately, there are no visible signs of the station left.

Blink, and you can miss the roads into Yanderra, but once you’re there, a whole new scenario opens up.

Yanderra features a vibrant public school, a small retail complex including grocery, convenience/take-away and beauty salon , a number of small home-based businesses and rural-based businesses.

Yanderra, like many of the Highland’s northern villages, has the potential to benefit from population and business growth from the soon-to-open Badgerys Creek airport and aerotropolis.

The Hume Expressway is within a short drive offering access to Sydney and Canberra, a rail station is a few minutes away in Bargo and bus service for local high schools is available.

Visitors to Yanderra can explore the nearby national parks, go bushwalking along scenic trails, or simply relax and enjoy the laid-back country lifestyle. With its quaint streets, local shops, and stunning natural beauty, Yanderra is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by those seeking a serene village retreat.
