It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
It seems like more of us are getting Chrissy-ready earlier and earlier each year don’t you think?
Well, if you’re not quite Chrissy-ready as yet, this handy list of places to buy fresh, yummy-smelling trees should start you off!
And if we happen to come across any more locations in our travels, we promise to be good little elves and add them here soon as we do.
Southern Highlands Christmas Farm
Hoo boy, we’re beyond excited to pick out a tree from here.
From 22 November, drop into the farm during Harvest Barn trading hours (Thursday–Sunday, 9am–5pm, no bookings required), wander through the Christmas tree plantation and pick your favourite. The team will do the rest – cutting, carrying, netting and prepping your tree so it’s ready to roll.
Make a day of it with picnic areas, friendly farm animals and a browse through the Christmas shop, or opt for delivery within the Southern Highlands if you’d rather not lug your tree home.
There’s also a feel-good bonus: $5 from every Christmas tree sold is donated to Dementia Australia.

Christmas tree care & aftercare tips:
What’s the trick to keeping it fresh and festive?
Pop your tree in a stand with some water as soon as it’s home and keep that base topped up daily. Hydrated trees stay greener, smell better, and shed fewer needles.
Where should it live once it’s decorated?
Somewhere cool and away from heaters, aircons, vents or direct sunlight. A space in your home that’s not too warm [thanks summer Christmas] should keep it going well past Boxing Day.
What happens after Christmas?
If you are able to, you can cut your tree into smaller pieces and put it in the Green Bin for collection. If it’s a bigger one you will probably need to drive it out to the Resource Recovery Centre in Moss Vale and pay a disposal fee.
Can a potted tree be reused next year?
Sure can! Keep watering it over the year and replant in a sunny spot. With a little love, it’ll be ready to shine again next Chrissy.
