Ever wanted to run away to the bush to get married among the gum trees?

Well… you can. And it’s even more beautiful than you imagined.

Welcome to Wildwood Kangaroo Valley, a stunning, rare and truly special place tucked away in one of the most naturally spectacular locations in New South Wales.

More than just a venue, Wildwood is a destination where you can reconnect with nature and each other. A place to celebrate love and togetherness.

It’s a place where weddings are wild [in the best possible way], nature is embraced and protected, wholesome events are enjoyed and unforgettable moments are made all year round.

We’re wild about this venue. And once you visit, you will be too.

A truly magical setting

Set on 100 acres of pristine subtropical rainforest and perched atop a sandstone bluff with breathtaking views to the lower valley, Wildwood is quite literally a bush paradise.

Surrounded by national parks and framed by soaring escarpments, it offers a setting so naturally beautiful that it instantly elevates any event into something pretty extraordinary… while gently inviting you to slow down. Breath. Enjoy the moment.

But Wildwood isn’t just beautiful. It’s cared for, and deeply so. This only adds to the magic.

The team behind the venue are devoted custodians of the land, committed to an eco-friendly approach and to preserving its beauty. Their love and respect for this environment can be felt in every detail, from the rewilding of native species to the organic waste systems and their efforts to tread lightly.

They’ve worked hard to ensure Wildwood remains what it’s always meant to be. Wild by name, wild by nature.

And it’s beautiful because of this.

The perfect all year round wedding venue

If you’re dreaming of a warm summer gathering at sunset, a cosy winter celebration by an open fire or a springtime affair surrounded by native flowers blooming, Wildwood offers an unforgettable wedding experience in every season.

It’s a place where the setting is just as natural as the love being honoured.

They’ve thought of everything, offering a complete all-in-one experience that makes planning your nuptials easy and incredibly personal:

  • A stunning bushland venue with multiple ceremony and reception spaces that are exclusively yours
  • Onsite accommodation at the beautiful Wildwood House
  • Catering packages with a strong focus on local, organic produce [some even grown onsite]
  • Event styling, trusted local suppliers and a thoughtful, experienced team

And they’ve even got loads of thoughtful optional extras to help make your wedding feel completely your own. From a Welcome Dinner to a Recovery Brunch and everything in between.

Wildwood is very much a choose-your-own-adventure kind of place. The team are genuine collaborators, ready to help bring your ideas to life. Just ask – they’re all ears.

More than just weddings

While weddings are at the heart of Wildwood, they’re not the only thing this beautiful venue hosts.

Throughout the year, Wildwood offers a carefully curated calendar of ticketed events all infused with the same heart and attention to detail as their weddings.

We’re talking all the good stuff:

  • Long lunches and high teas among the trees
  • Fire-cooked feasts featuring local produce and amazing chefs from around the world
  • Unique artisan workshops such as perfume making, silversmithing, painting, beekeeping and much more.
  • Intimate music and food experiences with a strong community spirit

These offerings are real, wholesome and grounded – just like the setting within which they’re held. Nothing cookie cutter. Nothing over-produced. Just beautiful, slow experiences designed to bring people together with intention.

Be sure to keep your eye out for all the events they have on – some might just be coming up!

Mark your calendars…

Lovers Long Lunch:

On September 13, Wildwood in Kangaroo Valley is rolling out the red carpet for its Private Lunch and Wedding Open Day. Guests will kick back with a refreshing Wildwood Spritz, nibble on tasty canapés by the lawn, and feast on a long lunch whipped up by the award-winning Garnish Creative Catering. It’s the perfect chance for engaged couples to taste-test, explore, and start dreaming about their big day.

While soaking up the gorgeous nature surroundings and eating delicious food, you can also have your portrait taken by James Simpson [featured in Hello May and VICE… so awesome]. Plus, take home a fresh bunch of flowers from the garden.

Tickets include drinks, canapés, a sit-down lunch, and all the inspiration you need to start planning your unforgettable day. Book your tickets here.

Bookings are essential.

Gadhungal Marring – Native Bush Foods Planting Day:

And while your calendar’s open… on September 14, Wildwood is teaming up with Gadhungal Marring for a hands-on workshop on growing edible native plants.

Imagine planting your own slice of bushland magic along Wildwood’s Creek Walk! A living pantry of native trees and plants chosen to thrive in sandy soils and to add a unique twist to future weddings and events. The dream? Guests wandering through, foraging fresh native flavours like they’re visiting a friend’s garden.

After planting, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch featuring local bush foods.

This workshop is a fantastic chance to learn from Gadhungal Marring, an Aboriginal-owned social enterprise sharing the rich culture and flavours of native plants.

You can book this magical experience here. And as with the Lovers Long Lunch, bookings are essential.

A deep and ongoing commitment to land and community

Wildwood isn’t just eco-friendly – it’s eco-devoted [and then some!]. The team is deeply committed to both the land they care for and the community they’re part of.

They reuse, upcycle and work with the land – not against it. Wastewater is treated and reused onsite, while rainwater is harvested and recycled to keep lawns and gardens thriving. Food scraps are composted for the veggie patch, while leftover meals are often packaged up for guests to take home or delivered to a local shelter in Nowra.

Native plants and trees are being reintroduced and the wildlife is thriving [they’ve got resident echidnas, lyrebirds, wallabies and even wombats happily calling Wildwood home]. Even traffic is considered, with a minivan service helping reduce vehicle impact on the land and around town. And wherever possible, they buy local, eco-conscious products with sustainable packaging.

[Um, did you catch all that? What an impressive commitment!]

This isn’t just about looking after a venue or hosting beautiful events [although they’ve absolutely got that covered!]. It’s about protecting a piece of paradise, supporting the local community and ensuring this magical place can be shared and enjoyed for generations to come.

Tying the knot? This could be the place.

Whether you’re newly engaged or deep into planning mode, Wildwood is the kind of venue that takes your breath away.

It’s a magical place to celebrate your love, a beautiful backdrop for your special day, but it’s also so much more. It’s full of heart, grounded in nature and run by a team who genuinely care.

But don’t just take our word for it – you really need to see it for yourself.
