Kumbartcho Sanctuary Trails, QLD

The Kumbartcho Sanctuary is six hectares of natural habitat which provides an important corridor for local fauna and flora.

There are a number of local walking trails around the dam at environment centre in addition to an opportunity to walk along the South Pine River to Yurarba.

Kumbartcho is home to a variety of finned, feathered, freaky and furry creatures, including koalas, frogs, snakes, turtles, and possums. Its close proximity to the river allows visitors to see a range of water and shore birds, as well as predatory raptors.

The education centre and nursery is open daily from 7am to 7pm.
