Description
Brett's Outback Tasting Adventure – From Port Douglas Discover a foodie experience guests will truly enjoy and remember.
On this boutique adventure, visitors will visit environmentally sustainable small producers across the Atherton Tablelands. The visit alone supports their survival and strengthens the local community — with no pressure to buy.
Instead, the hope is guests will be inspired to seek out and support local producers when they return home. Along the way, visitors will taste some of the best food and wine the Tablelands has to offer, while travelling through a spectacular mix of landscapes — from lush rainforest to striking ochre savannah plains.
Thanks to the region's rich volcanic soil, farmers grow an incredible variety of produce: Bananas, Coffee, Sugar cane, Avocados, Mangoes, Macadamias, Citrus and more. Guests will taste, learn, and experience why this region is known as the 'Food Bowl of the Tropics.' To give back, Brett's Tours proudly partners with ReForest, planting trees in the Tablelands' Mabi rainforest — reducing the carbon footprint and helping protect this special environment for generations to come.
