Petition to crown Toowoomba as the market capital of Qld? Honestly, we are spoiled for choice in this region with so many markets in and around town!

Whether grabbing fresh produce at the Toowoomba Farmers’ Market, hunting for unique finds at the Queens Park Market, or tasty Devonshire teas at a Lions Club market, there’s just so much to explore.

Here’s our rundown on these markets and others, so you can make the most of your market time in the Toowoomba region.

Markets In Toowoomba 

Toowoomba Farmers’ Market

Here’s a great place to grab all your seasonal goodies, chat with local farmers, and shop straight from the source. Load up your basket with fresh fruit, veggies, meat, bread, pasta, preserves, honey, milk, and more.

You’ll also find many artisan stalls selling everything from handmade soaps and beauty items to leather goods, steelwork, wooden items, and jewellery. Grab a coffee and some homemade treats while you check out local and international eats and enjoy the regular live music.

Toowoomba PCYC Market

This Sunday market is one of Toowoomba’s longest-running and is a great way to spend your morning. You’ll find all sorts of local stalls selling everything from fresh produce and plants to furniture, fruits, cakes, and cool collectibles. There’s always something new to check out. 

  • Every Sunday 
  • 7 am – 12:30 pm

The Makers’ Market

This Sunday market highlights all the incredible creative talent of our region. You can find homemade preserves, hats, toys, homewares, accessories, and other beautiful bits and bobs. 

Set inside The Goods Shed, with a designated kids’ zone and coffee stalls, it’s a fabulous family day out. 

  • 2nd Sunday of every month
  • 8 am – 1 pm 
  • The Goods Shed, Victoria Street, Toowoomba

Twilight Markets

Run by the same folks who organise the fantastic Makers Markets, this seasonal event celebrates the nighttime vibes. With over 140 stalls, you’ll find plenty of artisan goodies for your home, hair, body, and of course, delicious treats to satisfy your cravings.

There’s live music, face painting, and lots of family-friendly activities. It only happens four times a year, so be sure to mark it on your calendar.

Queens Park Markets

Located in beautiful Queens Park, the Queens Park Market is where you can find unique art and crafts from all around the Southeast Queensland region. 

Chill out on a Sunday, checking out stalls with delish food, art, gifts, home decor, jewellery, and clothes. And as a bonus, all the fees from the stalls go to local charities- so good! 

  • 3rd Sunday of every month [4th Sunday in September]

Toowoomba’s Endless Edit 

Shop loads of preloved clothing at this monthly market. Sell your wardrobe or buy a totally new one. Remember to bring your $2 for entry.

Auto-Mania Market  

A new annual market on the Toowoomba calendar, selling everything car and car parts related. 

Rev heads mark this one in your calendar as it only happens once a year and you don’t want to miss it. 

  • Annually [usually in July], set over a Saturday and Sunday
  • 9 am – 4 pm Saturday, 9am – 1 pm Sunday

Markets In Highfields

Highfields Community Markets

With gourmet food to munch on, live music to groove to, and FREE fairy floss, this community market is a hoot. Grab artisan goodies like plants, pet treats, jewellery, and tons of knick-knacks too.

St Anne’s Market and Car Boot Sales

Happening four times a year, this market is a hit in the Highfields community. It’s the perfect chance to declutter or score some preloved bargains.

Bring your appetite for the sausage sizzle, Devonshire teas, cakes, jams, and relishes.

  • 3rd Saturday of February, May, August and November
  • 8 am – 12 pm

Other Markets In The Region 

Cabarlah Markets

Arts, crafts, vintage finds, furniture, tools, pet gear, glassware, fresh produce, plants and tons more. And when hunger strikes, there’s burgers, chips, Devonshire teas, sammies and other tasty bites.

FYI: There’s no ATM on site, so bring your cashola for the stalls.

Lions Sunday Markets Oakey 

We love a Lions’ Club market for its range of stalls including; plants, homewares, homemade treats and knick-knacks. 

We doubly love a Lions Club market for their tasty sausage sizzle and B&E rolls….nom nom nom!

  • 3rd Sunday of every month
  • 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

Ma Ma Creek Community Markets

Check out this market for all sorts of handmade and home-grown stuff like plants, woodworking, artisan soaps, baked treats, sewing, crafts, honey, and veggies. And don’t miss the scrummy homestyle morning tea served up by the Ma Ma Creek Hall crew.

Puppers on leads are welcome to join in the fun as well.

Pittsworth Lions Club Markets

These occasional markets are packed with fun stalls, BBQs, performances, activities for the kiddos, and coffee for the grown-ups. Stay tuned to the Pittsworth Lions Club Facebook for updates on the next event.

Dusty’s Markets

Only happening a few times a year, these markets are all about celebrating local artisans and trades. Snag leather goods, silversmith creations, soaps, sewn treasures, handmade jewellery, and even gifts for your pets.

Have a cuppa and a chat with the locals behind all these incredible wares.

Crows Nest Markets

A small but fun market in the town of Crows Nest run by the local Lions Club. Pick up fresh seasonal produce, distilled drinkies, homemade gifts, plants and flowers, plus plenty more.

Markets A Little Further Afield 

Yarraman Markets

All the country market classics like fruit, veg, honey, chutneys, bric-a-brac and plenty more. Save tummy room for some of the hot food available as well, like sausage sangas and locally-loved fish burgers.

Bunya Mountains Markets

Nestled in the Bunya Mountains, these markets celebrate handmade treasures amongst those gorge towering trees and crisp mountain air.

Wander through stalls filled with hand-carved sculptures, woven textiles, and more. It’s a perfect spot for unique gifts and rustic home decor. Enjoy chatting with artisans about their craft while soaking up the beauty.
