Description
The Kimba Museum showcases early agricultural life of the Kimba district. Located in Mallee parkland opposite the grain silos, an old railway turnstile provides access to the Pioneer House dating back to 1908.
Showcasing early lifestyle, you can visit the One Teacher School, Pioneer Store, History Room, Government sheds, dog fence, water conservation, tractor collection and blacksmith shop. “Clancy” the first fire truck and the telephone exchange are other interesting historical displays. The sheds and outer buildings house collections of early agricultural machinery, horse drawn wagons, stationary engines and blacksmithing tools.
Open Wednesdays, or by appointment by calling them.
