Description
A walk to support Pancreatic Cancer, Pankind hosts annual walks each year. These walks are an opportunity to unite as a community, dress passionately in purple and walk in memory or celebration of loved ones while coming together for support and helping raise the profile of the disease.
The upcoming Eleventh annual 'Put Your Foot Down Walk' campaign, which will kick off in Hobart on 17 March 2024, as a prelude to the walks strolling out in other states across the nation, and keeping Pankind events in the spotlight until November- World Pancreatic Cancer month.
Date: Sunday 17 March
Event opens at 8.30 am
Walk commences at approximately 9.30 am
Early Bird registrations (until 4 March) $25 Adults / $10 Children 5 - 17 / Under 5 free
Registration fee after 4 March $35 Adults / $15 Children
Participants can register on the day
On the day PanKind merchandise (caps, t-shirts, pins, water bottles, dog leads, and bandanas) can be purchased
BBQ breakfast / Coffee van / Face painting available
All walkers are encouraged to dress in purple (prizes awarded for the best-dressed adult, child, group, and dog)
The money raised from the walks goes to ground-breaking research and much-needed patient support programs
PanKind has invested $14m in medical research since inception
