Sorell is one of Tasmania’s oldest towns and today is a popular service centre for local farms and light industry. There are three National Estate listed historic churches, including the impressive St Georges Anglican Church in Gordon Street.
At the Sorell Fruit Farm, visitors can pick all sorts of stone and berry fruits in season. The choice is extensive from classic favourites of strawberries and raspberries through to loganberries, tayberries and silvanberries. Also, worth a stop is the Sorell Antique Centre where you’ll find all kinds of treasures from the past and if you’re in Sorell on a Sunday, stop by the Sorell market with over 60 stallholders selling a huge range of goods.
