Description
The Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong is a celebration of the beauty, history and craftsmanship of wooden boats of all kinds.
The event is held biennially in even years over the March Labour Day Long weekend. As well as the on-water component of wooden vessels racing on Corio Bay, the Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong provides a range of activities and entertainment for families on the waterfront.
The festival is community focused and includes activities such as face painting, model yacht racing, pirate hat competitions, live entertainment, Wooden Boat Industry Experts and Artisans, boat building competitions and plenty of delicious local food and beverages.
